Tangerine
Tangerine, is a Canadian direct bank and a subsidiary of Scotiabank. It was formerly ING Bank of Canada . It is a member of the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation and like other banks is regulated by the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) a Canadian federal agency that supervises all federally regulated financial institutions.
It first opened in Canada in April 1997 and had over 2,300 full-service ATMs across Canada. It does not have a conventional bank branch network as most of its services are offered online as well as its 24/7 telephone customer service. However within Canada it offers 'Cafes' where customers can use bank services and speak to representatives. These Cafes are located in the following locations: Toronto - Downtown, Toronto North, Vancouver, Montreal and Calgary
It provides its customers with various savings and investments products such as savings accounts (High Yield Savings Accounts, US Dollar Investment Savings Accounts, Tax-Free Savings Account (TFSA). As well as RSPs, GICs and Tax-Free Mutual Funds.
